Adapter Kit 1: Used to adapt a vertical pump to any skimmer setup except for the Aquascape Signature Series skimmers. The adapter kit uses your EXISTING "Aquascape Signature Series Check Valve Assembly". Remove the check valve assy. from your pump and plumbing. Then unscrew the lower union fitting from the check valve. This will allow you remove the short section of PVC flex-pipe and the glued-on, male-threaded end piece that was screwed in to your pump. If necessary you may cut the flex-pipe in order to remove it from the union/screw sleeve. Next, insert the new collar into the union/screw sleeve and retighten the union/screw sleeve. Now hand tighten the new male threaded pipe adapter (MPT Fitting) into the new pump. Place the new pump in the skimmer and reattach your check valve assy. to the top plumbing. Measure the gap between the check valve's lower union/screw sleeve to the inside of the MPT fitting that was installed on the new pump. By this point you will be able to understand how to finish
installing. Simply cut the included section of flexpipe to the desired length and glue into the MPT fitting on one end and glue into the check valve collar on the opposite end. Seeing the process simplifies the understanding. Adapter kit #1 includes:

1- 4oz. Flexpipe PVC Cement
